My visits to Edmonton are more about descendants than ancestors: my three children and now three grandchildren live here. So my time is more than filled with visits and baby-sitting, but this trip I’m trying to slip in two events to highlight my gardener novels.
The first event on September 26 at 3:30 is at MacEwan University bookstore. It is the official Edmonton launch of my novel A Garden in the Wilderness, and it has been long awaited. Thanks to my former employer MacEwan U. for hosting this event. I’ll be signing copies of the book and reading from it,
The second event is the launch of the Compleat Gardener series to be held at Grace United Church on October 1 at 7:00pm. The Compleat Gardener series is what I call all four novels on the life of my ancestors John and Susan Dean and their children. There will be refreshments and, as an added bonus, I have asked my daughter Julie Rossignol to provide music.
If you are in Edmonton, please attend one of these events, or if you know someone here, please pass this invitation along.
