It doesn’t happen often, but occasionally the world surprises you with a win. No, it wasn’t the lottery. I’d have to buy a ticket for that to happen, and I’m not into voluntary taxation. But I did help out a fellow author by posting some information about her latest novel online, and as a result, she put my name in a draw for a Kindle Fire.
My daughter called me from Edmonton to tell me that I’d won. She saw it on Facebook. Sure enough, it was true. Thank you, Monique, for your generosity, and keep writing those great page-turners.
