That title of this blog is facetious but there is some truth to it. I have just been on a one-week vacation to Maui. It was another island in the Pacific, but unlike Vancouver Island, it was warm even in November. Unlike my earlier trip to Nova Scotia and South Carolina, this one had nothing at all to do with my books. So it feels as though I have been sleeping a spell in paradise, and now I come back to reality. It’s raining outside. There is work to be done. I must prepare my book launch for The Serpentine Garden Path.
If you live in Victoria, or anywhere near here, you are invited to attend. The date is Friday, December 7 at 1:30. The place is First Metropolitan United Church. There will be refreshments and an opportunity to buy a signed copy of the book, which is the first in the series, and also A Garden in the Wilderness, which is book four. I hope to publish books two and three in the new year. So, if you haven’t read them yet, or are looking for a Christmas present, please come. There will be a special deal if you buy both books.
I hadn’t meant this blog as an ad, but there you go. I guess the vacation is well and truly over, and it is Black Friday today after all!
